In solidarity with Autistici/Inventati

The italian collective Autistici/Inventati has shut down.

A/I is shutting down. The Autistici/Inventati collective is shutting down and will soon discontinue all of the services we provide.

This came as a surprise to all of us. After the US designated A/I as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist we hoped it would be able to recover. But after even the Bank holding their funds caved in the situation became dire.

Banca Etica has been spending many words to justify their actions and pretend they are on our side, but their actions counter all of their statements, clearly showing how they are just faithful servants of the US autocrat.

The A/I collective provided digital services for activists all over the world including noblogs.org, a popular left wing blogging platform also used by members of the German parliament.

But now that A/I is gone it’s up to us to fill the gap! If you have the technical abilities start hosting services for activists! Provide Email, XMPP, Matrix, web hosting and whatever else is needed to build strong and secure communities.

May a thousand platforms bloom, may a thousand hacktivist collectives be born, may a thousand servers spark up! May the end of A/I produce a myriad instrastructures of dissent as we could never imagine before.

This is the advantage of decentralization. Just because one provider is down doesn’t mean all is lost. Be the next A/I. We desperately need it!
